Prince Wasajja hails Mandela Group for well laid strategy towards cancer fight

Buganda Kingdom’s Prince David Wasajja on Monday heaped praise on Mandela Group of Companies for the well laid strategy towards the fight of cancer.

This happened during the Dubai Desert Challenge promo raffle draws which were held at 6th Street Industrial Area on Tuesday.

In this campaign which is meant to run until November, esteemed City Tyres and City Oil customers will win a fully paid trip to Dubai to watch the Dubai Desert Challenge.

On which ever coupon is filled by the different customers, Mandela Group deducts One hundred shillings towards the cause of fighting cancer in Uganda, an initiative which the Prince applauded.

“I thank Mandela Group that has been instrumental in contributing support to the poor in our communities through building schools, Churches and Mosques and for sure has have contributed to the community growth and the growth of sports industry. The new strategy towards fighting cancer is a bigger achievement and as Buganda Kingdom, we are also support and will help you in this journey to fight cancer.

Prince Wasajja also lamented on their closest with Buganda Kingdom and urged other corporate companies to join them in this journey.

“Mandela group has sided with us in good and bad times even before and after Mandela’s times as a minister in Mengo government. I therefore, urge all companies to support the poor and in sponsoring sports since it’s growth depends on sponsorships.”

He added.

The Dubai Desert Challenge draw 1 contributed a total of One Million Nine hundred and Eighty One thousand (UGX 1,981,000).

In the draws held, six winners were announced with more 48 to be announced in the next draws until November 2020 targeting a total 54 lucky customers.

The first set of winners was selected from February clients who will fly to Dubai in May alongside the upcoming winners of March and April in a group of 18 winners, but the next two trips shall take place in August and November.

Abdallah Kayiru, Lohana Dheba, Hajji Fahad Ibrahim, Ramananda & Company LTD, Ssenfuma, and Allen Nakayiza were six customers that won a free full Service from any of the City oil branch countrywide.

Former FMU president and Vice Chancellor Pader district Dusman Okee, City Oilers captain Okello James and other invited guests volunteered in conducting the draws.
