Mboyo FC bounces back with a double win at JICO League Matchday 4
Following a dismissal performance on Match Day 3 of JICO League Season 2 that saw them lose two games and saw them slip down the table log, Mboyo FC reorganized themselves to and came back with unwavering form that saw them collect maximum points from both of their games over the weekend.
Led by Captain Andrew Buyondo, the team showed great zeal with intricate passing football and teamwork averaging two goals in each of their games and only conceding once on the day that saw a number of JICONIANs and friends brave the heavy rains to attend the match day at Volta Arena Kyanja.
“We are happy that today we have been able get the maximum points, some teams had written us off following match day 3 but we have come back stronger than ever and are ready to play at our top form to ensure we win this season. We want to thank our fans, our cohort for always coming through to support us on each match day, big ups to them” Andy told this website.
Currently, Mboyo FC that is still eying the title sits in sixth position at 13 points only 3 points behind table leaders Collegians FC at 16 points.
However there was a display of unsportsmanship by Nvuluga FC and Solida FC after they failed to concede defeat to their elders Mboyo FC and Mbokya FC and only resorted to violence as a way of trying to win the game over to themselves, luckily the sportsmanship character of the two elder cohorts saw the games end without anyone getting hurt.
