Museveni Swearing in: Guests start arriving at Entebbe International Airport

Guests and dignitaries have started arriving at Entebbe International Airport ahead of President Yoweri Museveni’s swearing in ceremony due to take place tomorrow Wednesday 12th May.

President Museveni will be taking oath of office for the sixth time after being declared winner of the 2021 genera election.

Among the guests is Kenyan Amb. Raychelle Omamo, the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs together with Hon.James Wainaina Macharia, E.G.H the Cabinet Secretary for Transport who arrived in the country today morning at the Entebbe International Airport.

The Delegation was welcomed by Amb. Alfred Nnam Head Public Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and H.E Julius Kiema Kilonzo the Kenyan High Commissioner to Uganda.

The Cabinet Secretaries arrived as part of President Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya and the Chairman of the East African Community (EAC) advance team. Kenyatta will attend the official swearing-in ceremony tomorrow.

Meanwhile security has been beefed up along old Entebbe road and the Entebbe Express highway in a bid to keep the country secure against any eventuality.

Officers from the special forces, Police VVIP and the ordinary police officers have been deployed along the roads.
