Entebbe Police O.C C.I.D arrested over releasing child murder suspects

 The O.C, C.I.D Entebbe Police Station ASP Herbert Lugubwa has been arrested after he released four suspects in the kidnap and murder of six year old Joram Kato who was killed by his abductors after his parents failed to pay a Shs 4 million ransom.

ASP Lugubwa was arrested on Saturday after a meeting with residents of Nkumba Bendegere which turned rowdy after he revealed that he had released the suspects who had been seen by the residents roaming freely two weeks after their arrest.  

During the meeting, Entebbe DPC Esther kayema told residents, the suspects who were released by the Lugubwa will be rearrested by the police force.

“I don’t want you to think we have not taken your grievances into concern, we know the pain your going through and we are going to rectify it” she said.

Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed Lugubwa’s arrest who is currently under custody at katwe Police station.

By time of this publication Police had so far re arrested one of the four suspects who had led police to the deceased’s body.

A total of five suspects were arrested to help police in the investigations of six year old Joram Kato’s murder
