COVID-19: 74 Ugandans in Saudi Arabia tested ahead of return

Ugandan Nationals and legal residents who have are stranded in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia owing to the Covid-19 pandemic have been tested for the virus.

The free testing has been provided for by the Ugandan Embassy in Riyadh in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration(IOM).

This exercise was carried out in preparation of the planned repatriation flight that is expected to take place on Tuesday 15th September 2020.

This will will be the 6th repatriation exercise the Embassy has undertaken that has ensured that over 2,500 Ugandans and legal residents in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman and Kuwait returned home safely.

The Head Consular and Labour Affairs of the Embassy thanked the Ugandans for their patience they have so far exhibited.
