Venoms seek to widen gap against the wounded tax collectors

First placed SC Vipers travel to Ndejje, Luwero today to face URA in the Uganda Premier League with a chance to distance themselves from second placed KCCA with an eight point gap if they emerge victorious this afternoon. URA sits fourth on the UPL table and lost their last match in the league.

Fred Kajoba’s SC Vipers is expected to turn around their fortunes against Sam Ssimbwa’s URA after failing to edge KCCA on the last match day at St. Mary’s Stadium. The Venoms have only lost two games this season whilst URA fell short against a stubborn Busoga United 3-0 and failed to impress.

Vipers go into this game as favorites after edging URA 1-0 in the first round, but services of Striker Tito OKello will be missed and Halid Luwalira is still a doubt and his fitness will be assessed.

 Whereas at Luzira Grounds today Maroons hosts Busoga United with Steven Mukwala on fire for Maroons to help recover from the 2-1 defeat against Wakiso Giants next week and Busoga United’s Abbey Kikomeko hopes to keep the winning streak going.
