Striker Mahadi Kayondo has officially transferred to a top Romanian club, Asociatia Club Sportiv Ghiroda on a two year contract.
The 22 year old is managed by former Uganda Cranes international Andrew Eugene Sepuya, the director of Sepuya Inc agency.
Kayondo is appreciative of the development and has since set the heights to fulfill personal and team aspirations.
He also thanks Sepuya Inc Agency that played a significant role in securing him a great job.
“I am humbled to joined Asociatia Club Sportiv Ghiroda. My main anticipation is to help the club to help the club to high heights in line with the objectives and goals. As it is the main objective as to why the club trusted me to join them. Mainly, as a player I am looking forward to help the club as much as I can in and outside the field, I have been well prepared , been scoring goals in the pre-season friendlies with all this it gave me much confidence that we will achieve all the objectives of the club. In a special way, I thank Sepuya Inc Agency for preparing me mentally, and physically for such a placement” Mahadi Kayondo stated.
During his early times in Uganda, Kayondo had previously played at FUFA Big League side Ndejje University Football Club.
He also played at another Romania top league side Asociația Club Sportiv (ACS) Poli Timișoara since 2018.
Kayondo hails from a footballing family and his young brother Aziz Kayondo is a left back at Vipers Sports Club.
Other Ugandan who have played professional football in Romania are Andrew Eugene Sepuya (Fotbal Club Petrolul Ploiești) and William Luwagga Kizito (Clubul Sportiv Municipal Politehnica Lași).
Sepuya is now director of Sepuya Inc Agency that manages professional footballers as Ukrainian defender Artem Baranovskyi among others.
