Uganda has made a breakthrough in handling Covid19 pandemic as three of the 53 confirmed cases tested negative twice after thorough treatment! According to the ministry of health, the three are set to be discharged from respective hospitals.
“All the 53 confirmed COVID-19 cases are in stable condition and are being considered for discharge by Clinicians,” said Dr. Henry Mwebesa the director general health services, in the ministry of health.
Only 20 of the Covid19 patients are at Mulago National Specialised Hospital, while 31 are at Entebbe general referral Hospital and only 1patient is at Adjumani hospital and another one at Hoima hospital.
A cumulative of 3,862 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in Uganda where only 53 have since tested positive. “538 individuals are under institutional quarantine while 571 contacts to the confirmed cases are under follow up,” Dr Mwebesa added.
Cases of Coronavirus disease currently stand at 1,614,405 in the whole world where 96,788 have died and 362,409 have so far recovered.
