Two people who jumped off a Police Patrol vehicle in Kalangala have been found dead.
The two had been arrested as Police in Kalangala was patroling areas of Kyagalanyi and Mulabana, in Bujumba Sub County.
A source at the District Police Station told Entebbe Post that Police had seen one body by 5.00 am on Tuesday morning and taken the corpse to Kalangala Health Center IV.
“Later, the residents found the second body that fell off the Police truck along the roadside towards Kalangala town. The residents called us to come and pick the body.” A Police officer says.
The enforcement of the curfew in Kalangala has always turned ugly as Police officers engage in battles, fist fights with Islanders.
The curfew was instituted by President Yoweri Museveni on March 23rd as a presidential directive in Covid 19 prevention and control
The District Police Commander Benon Byamukama says, investigations into the case are still ongoing.
