A group of 16 Spanish athletes and physiotherapists is in Uganda to meet Kapchorwa based world record holder Joshua Cheptegei with hopes to uncover the secrets behind the athlete’s top game.
The group is to stay in Uganda for 10 days with a line of events ranging from athletics, training of youngsters, donation of sports equipment and tourism.
The visit to world champion Joshua Cheptegei’s training facility will be an exchange training for Physiotherapeutic skills and donate multiple sports equipment according to the head of the Spanish delegation Toni Espades.
The 16 will visit the Sipi Falls and hike Mt Elgon, white water rafting courtesy of the Uganda Tourism Board(UTB) and multi national tour agency Rift Valley Expeditions.
UTB Chief Executive Officer Lilly Ajarova upon receiving the group said that the tourism industry is well prepared to receive tourists considering the anti-covid19 measures already in place.
