Sembabule man accuses Sam Kuteesa, Daughter Shartis of torture

A yet to be identified man in Sembabule has accused Foreign Affairs Minister Sam Kahamba Kuteesa and daughter Shartis Musherure of orchestrating his torture with intent to kill him.

The man who features in a video on social media claims, Kuteesa ordered his body guards, all security personnel to torture him because he supports a rival candidate, Godfrey Sodo Aine Kaguta.

Sodo Aine Kaguta and Shartis Musherure are seeking the mandate of the NRM party to hold flag to replace Minister Sam Kahamba Kuteesa as Member of Parliament for Mawogola North.

Kuteesa had led the constituency for more than 25 years before endorsing his daughter, also Museveni’s daughter in law Shartis Musherure to replace him in Parliament.

“We need to leave stage for the new, young generation to take charge,” Sam Kuteesa said while endorsing daughter in Mawogola last year.

However, since Shartis Musherure and Godfrey Sodo Aine Kaguta took stage, there has been emergence of violence which left many people within the area injured and hospitalized.

While speaking in a video circulated on social media, the man indicated that “He (Kuteesa ordered that after killing me, I should be taken to a health facility, injected and make a post mortem report indicating that I had died after suffering accident bruises,” he says.

He also indicated that more people have also been beaten and it is not yet clear whether they are currently.

On September 4th, the NRM electoral commission was forced to extend dates for voting for the primaries for MP aspirants in the area over election violence.

Currently, Museveni’s brothers Nzeire Kaguta and Toyota Kaguta have pitched camp in the area to garner support of their youngest brother Godfrey Sodo Aine Kaguta to win the election.
