Police halts Entebbe NUP celebrations

Police in Entebbe led by the Officer in Charge of Operations Geoffrey Oloya has forced the National Unity Platform(NUP) celebrations to an early end on Tuesday.

Members of the NUP led by their interim Constituency Chairperson Stuart Lubwama and the NUP Entebbe Member of Parliament hopeful Michael Kakembo had gathered to celebrate Party President Robert Sentamu Kyagulanyi’s successful nomination earlier on Tuesday.

Lubwama informed Entebbe Post that they expected this from the police and they will not deter from their course of winning the country back for the people.

“This is a historic day for Uganda, the time is now that we take closer steps towards liberating the nation, I want to thank everyone that stood with us from the beginning of the struggle.” said Lubwama

Before the event was hijacked by Police, several youths and members of the newly formed NUP camped at the Kitoro Road based constituency offices, chanting songs of victory.

Micheal Kakembo, the Entebbe MP aspirant urged all Ugandans to be stronger than before, and be brave for the change they deserve is yet to be delivered, by 2021.
