Photos: Mpuuga, Ssenyonyi meet for the first time after impasse at Kabaka’s Palace
Former Leader of Opposition in Parliament Mathias Mpuuga and his successor Joel Ssenyonyi have for the first time met after a long spell of attacking the former.
The two met at the Kabaka’s Palace (Lubiri) in Mengo at the Kabaka birthday run.
Well as the the two seemed not to speak to one another, both Mpuuga and Ssenyonyi briefly greeted selves while sitting close to one another after the birthday run.
Tens of thousands of people joined Nalinya Lubuga Agnes Nabaloga, the Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga in the run. Kabaka Mutebi delegated Nalinya Lubuga to flag off today’s edition.
The run is meant to collect proceeds that would be used in the fighting against HIV Aids. Kabaka Mutebi is the International Ambassador for the HIV Aids fight in Africa.
Several other subjects in the Kingdom participated in the run from the different counties that make up the kingdom.
Mpuuga has for long been attacked by the National Unity Platform for getting a service award approved by Parliament of Uganda. He has since been dropped as Deputy President (Central Region) by NUP.
