Over 1000 Pastors Set to Gather at Mt Lebanon Church for Leadership Retreat
Over 1,000 pastors will on Thursday September 5, 2024 gather at Lebanon Christian Cathedral in Mukono to deliberate on development concerns affecting Pentecostal church leaders and followers in the country.
The engagement is a one-day retreat organized by Love, Peace, and Unity Pastors’ Destiny Forum to equip pastors with relevant information regarding accessibility to government development programs.
The most targeted church leaders are mainly from districts of Greater Mukono.
Pastor Samuel Lwandasa, the Forum Overseer says the retreat will help government officials understand pastors’ limitations towards embracing government programs.
“During this gathering, pastors will exchange ideas on the new challenges facing churches, and available opportunities for wealth in the country and beyond.” Pastor Lwandasa notes.
The Forum Chairperson Stephen Ssemusu anticipates the growth of the church economically through a vast knowledge acquired from expatriate facilitators.
“Church leaders will receive relevant information about government programs that will benefit pentecostal congregations. We invited relevant people from the government to share this information.” Pastor Ssemusu reveals.
He adds that several pastors actively participate in agriculture and business but lack vital information on how to expand.
“We are also going to create more awareness about the ongoing security threats in the country. As well as sharpen leadership skills among church leaders looking at basics of managing families, children and church today.”
The Chief Guest, Col Edith Nakalema has applauded the organisers for the arrangements saying the retreat will grately improve the livelihood of pastors and the people under their leadership.
