NUP MP Elects stop picking Kyagulanyi’s phone calls

NUP senior activist Sauda Madada has revealed, Kawempe south MP elect has stopped picking NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi’s calls.

Sauda Madada made the claims in a video recording obtained by Entebbe Post.

Madada also claimed, Kazibwe also refused to elect Lord Councilors in Kawempe South after he had obtained election victory. Kazibwe was competing with incumbent Munyagwa Mubarak and NUP head of Institutions Roy Ssembogga.

Madada however indicated that Kazibwe, since obtaining victory, he no longer picks calls, neither does he go for functions called by the Party President Robert Kyagulanyi.

“You ask all those councillors, he doesn’t pick calls. Maybe his hands are sick. I think these MP elects should not think about themselves alone,” she said.

She also claimed, several of the MPs save for Ssegirinya Muhammad, Aloysius Matovu and Abubaker Kawalya have now abandoned all calls by the party leadership to plan for their next move.

Madada’s claims come days after the emergence of claims that most National Unity Platform MPs have been invited by key NRM figures for a good working relationship with government.

Sources claim, a week after Kazibwe won, he met key NRM figures, asked for relocation from his Kawempe residence and now stays in Najeera, a suburb in Nakawa Division.

She also wondered why MPs have refused to join hands in the struggle to rescue all arrested people including Ali Buken alias Nubian Li. “That’s why I feel bad each time I look at what Kyagulanyi is going through. The world is all looking at him.”

She said, all MPs are now asking for where they can lobby for different positions in Parliament including that of the Leader of Opposition.

Kazibwe could not reached on his known telephone contacts to verify claims by Sauda Madada on his continued silence and absence from the Party activities.

More will abandon ship with time. The ship has taken them to their destination , but the journey was, rough and the ship had holes and was taking water. Secondly, NUP wants to ‘spoil’ these NUP elects’ awaited benefits as MPs since NUP is advocating for chaos. Many realize Uganda is,much bigger than NUP.
