Its official, Micheal Mutebi Kabwama will carry the National Resistance Movement(NRM) banner in the Entebbe Mayoral Race in 2021.
The Entebbe Chairperson Division A emerges as the winner for the Mayoral NRM primaries after scoring highly from most of the 24 polling stations.
Mutebi scored 5,427 which is 61,% of the total vote to beat his rival Fabrice Rulinda who only managed to secure 3474 votes making 39%of the vote.
There was heavy deployment at all polling stations with anticipation of violence but the polling would go on peacefully.
There was total disregard of the recommended guidelines and SOPs by the Ministry of Health intended to curb the spread of covid-19 as voters failed to practice social distancing and hand washing.
Mutebi joins a list of other candidates in the 2021 race for the Mayoral seat including Incumbent Vincent Kayanja DePaul of the Democratic Party, Former Member of Parliament Muhammad Kawuma and a one Kenneth Ssimbwa of the Alliance for National Transformation.
