Mustafa Kizza makes debut at Montreal Impact

Uganda Cranes’ left back Mustafa Kizza made his debut at Montreal Impact Football Club in the Major Soccer League (MSL).

Twice, Montreal Impact came from a goal down to win 3–2 over DC United.

The feat helped Montreal Impact qualify for the play off for the first time since 2016.

Kizza, a former KCCA defender was introduced in the 71st minute replacing Amar Sedjic with the score at 2-1 in favour of DC United.

Donovan Pines and Ola Kamara had given DC United the lead after 33 minutes.

Borjan Kirk scored the first goal for Montreal Impact, a side coached by Thierry Henry.

Kenya national team captain Victor Wanyama then headed home the equalizer with the last quarter hour remaining.

In the 88th minute, Kizza released Mason Toye with a low ground pass on the left.

Toye crossed for Romell Quioto who tapped home the winner to spark wild celebrations.

Montreal Impact who finished 9th in the Eastern Conference will play New England Revolution in the play-off round on Friday, November 20th 2020.
