The National Chairman of the NRM party and President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will make the journey to Ssembabule district on friday with hopes of restoring peace among party members after the outcomes of the primary vote were disputed by contenders.
The President will mediate between fellow party men and women who are grumbling over results of the party primaries which are said to have been doctored in the 3 different constituencies.
The disputes in Mawogola North are between Museveni’s younger brother Godfrey Aine Kaguta and Shartis Musherure, a daughter to Foreign Affairs minister Sam Kahamba Kutesa.
The other hot seat is Lwemiyaga County where Theodore Sekikubo’s win is contested by Minister Joy Kabatsi while in Mawogola West Anifa Kawooya is battling it out with Joseph Sekabiito.
Since last week, violence has characterized most of parts of the district, leading to security being beefed up with Deputy IGP Maj.Gen Sabiiti Muzeyi making the journey before the election.
