President Museveni has appointed John Musinguzi Rujuki as the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).
“By virtue of powers granted to me by the constitution, I have appointed Mr John Musinguzi as the new commissioner general of URA, this appointment takes immediate effect.
President Museveni made the announcement on his social media pages today.
Mr Musinguzi who has been appointed holds a masters degree in computing and information systems of university of Greenwich and bachelor’s of science in mathematics of Makerere University.
Doris Akol who has been replaced, was appointed to the position by then minister of finance, planning and economic development Ms Maria Kiwanuka on 27 October 2014.
She replaced Allen Kagina who was appointed Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) after two consecutive five year terms at the helm of URA
