More than 5 people killed in Kampala Bobi Wine riots

Armed forces in the Ugandan Capital, Kampala have so far killed five people in the current riots that saw Uganda’s Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi arrested.

Two ladies and three men have so far been killed in Kampala as riots continued in Kampala, Namulanda in Entebbe and Masaka City.

Kyagulanyi was on Wednesday afternoon arrested by Police in Luuka District for faulting Covid 19 guidelines as held a presidential campaign in the area.

The EC has since the inception of such campaigns abolished mass gatherings and asked all candidates to follow Covid 19 guidelines.

Kyagulanyi is currently held in Jinja.

Police is yet to give an account of what happened in the different districts of the country.

Kyagulanyi is battling with 10 others including incumbent Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for the countries top office.
