Gender State Minister in charge of Labor Mwesigwa Rukutana fell short of gunning down his opponent in the recent NRM Primaries.
Rukutana, who was contesting in Rushenyi County NRM Primaries, was battling with Mr. Dan Rweiburingi and four others won bid to seek reelection on the NRM ticket.
However, during the deliberations on Friday voting day, Rukutana had a bitter encounter with opponent Dan Rweiburingi and attempted to shoot him down.
In a video shot by one of Rweibirungi’s supporters, Rukutana is seen pointing an AK 47.
The gun was later removed from him by one of his bodyguards but later fought to pick another from a soldier annex.
His opponent is later heard in the video asking his driver to immediately drive away from danger.
This isn’t the first time the Minister is seen behaving with disrepute. About a year ago, Rukutana stormed out of the Bamugemereire Commision of inquiry on land matters, dissatisfied and asked Bamugemereire to report to God if she felt he had disrespected her.
