Lord Mayor Lukwago: I am out of danger

Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has arrested fears of several of his supporters who were earlier this week filled with false news that he had died.

Lukwago, in a communication through his official Facebook account said he is okay, out if danger and can now move.

He also indicated that he is set to return to the country.

“Having a health walk within the confines of The Nairobi Hospital. Currently in a stable condition and on course to full recovery, praise be to the Lord of the Universe. He will always be grateful to the comitted team of physicians and health workers at The Nairobi Hospital led by Professor Godfrey Lule and to you all, dear friends, for your spirited concern and prayers. Looking forward to returning home in a couple of days, In Sha Allah.” He wrote.

The Lord Mayor was taken to Nairobi last week after his condition worsened. He had earlier collapsed at Rubaga Cathedral during a Requiem Mass for the fallen Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga.

His medical team had since last year recommended that he gets a bed rest to avoid escalating his sickness.

His personal assistant Elvis Kintu Nsonyi had earlier warned all those who announced the Lord Mayor dead yet he was still under medication in Nairobi Kenya.
