StarTimes Uganda Premier League (UPL) outfit Kyetume Football Club has reportedly agreed terms with Charles Livingstone Mbabazi as head coach.
The agreement between these two parties was reached on Friday, 19th June 2020.
“We have made the initial agreement and I will finalize with a few more things as time goes by” Mbabazi noted.
For starters, Mbabazi is also the second assistant coach under Northern Irishman Johnathan McKinstry at the Uganda Cranes job.
He has been club-less since he lost his job at Wakiso Giants Football Club in February 2020.
Retiring from the beautiful game as a player where he earned 36 caps for Uganda Cranes, Mbabazi has since coached several teams to include Masavu, Bright Stars, Lweza, Onduparaka, Mbarara City, Kyetume, Wakiso Giants and the Somalia national team.
He is expected to work with another former Uganda Cranes great, Jackson “Mia-Mia” Mayanja who is the team manager at Kyetume.
Baptized as the “Slaughters”, Kyetume completed the 2019/20 season in 11th position with 30 points from 25 matches.
