Canadian based club Montreal Impact, an entity that features in the Major League Soccer (MSL) has signed a Ugandan, Mustafa Kizza.
Montreal Impact announced the left back’s arrival on Monday, 20th July 2020.
“We are really happy to acquire one of the best young players from Uganda.Kizza is a modern attacking left-back with great crossing abilities and huge potential. He is good on free-kicks and his height will also help on set pieces ” said the Montreal Impact sporting director Olivier Renard.
Kizza has been a player at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) since 2017 when he graduated from the KCCA Soccer Academy.
By the time he was elevated to the KCCA senior team, he was also a student at football house, Kibuli Secondary School.
Last season alone, Kizza scored 5 goals, assisted 12 times in 19 matches.
Kizza will remain with his club until December, on loan from Montreal Impact, because of the current Covid-19 situation, so he will not be taking an international spot on the roster.
Montreal Impact keeps the option to call him back if the situation improves.
The Canadian based club is coached by former Monaco, Arsenal and French legendary player Theirry Henry.
This club is also home to Kenya national team midfielder Victor Wanyama.
