Tag it a scientific unveiling ceremony because of the prevailing Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club utilized their newly created Television channel to officially announce their first two signings of the 2020/21 Uganda Premier League season.
Midfielder Ashraf “Fadiga” Mugume and striker Charles “Neymar” Lwanga were officially brought before the eyes of the public during KCCA FC live Tv show on Sanyuka Television, hosted by the club Public Relations Officer, Moses Magero Mwanje.
Mugume is an intelligent midfielder who has been a free agent since he tenure at Police ended following an earlier loan spell from Vipers.
“I am happy to be at KCCA FC. I had always yearned to play at this club because of the style of play” Mugume, a soft spoken player hinted.
Lwanga is a fast paced center forward who graduated from the Sports Club Villa junior ranks.
Like Mugume, Lwanga has also been a free agent after FUFA status committee order for his immediate release because SC Villa had taken months without paying him.
“I am happy to work with KCCA. I promise the fans the titles” Lwanga who is nick-named Neymar, after the Brazilian legend noted.
KCCA manager Mike Mutebi has already identified other players as Pius Obuya, Steven Mukwala, Andrew Kigozi and the return of goalkeeper Tom Ikara from the season long at Mbarara City.
KCCA will represent the country at the CAF Confederation Cup next season after a decision by the Football governing body, FUFA when the 2019/2020 season was cancelled abruptly because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
