Kato Lubwama lists Uganda’s big 4, top eleven musicians in Uganda

Artist and former legislator Kato Lubwama has named Uganda’s top musicians. He named them after making remarks on the rise and ascensions of Eddy Kenzo to the top four best musicians in Uganda.

The artist however said, he is disappointed that Kenzo has also joined the frustrated cry musicians who want sympathy which he said is bad for the music star. “Star Takaaba, now like me, why should I cry?” Kato Lubwama asked.

He however named Bebe Cool, Jose Chameleon, Eddy Kenzo and also added Robert Kyagulanyi as the big four musicians in Uganda. He however said he added Kyagulanyi on list just to make his NUP supporters comfortable. “He doesn’t have any serious song that you can say, is good enough.”

He however said, the big three musicians remain the most joyful and loved in the country. These include, Chameleon, Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine. “He also saw Chameleon and Bebe Cool when they came to Kololo and everyone rose up in support.”

He added, “Even when people do not like Bebe Cool, he is the only star in Uganda who lives like a celebrity.” He said, Kenzo’s international awards are not important to Ugandans save for when he goes to other countries such as Senegal.

He also added that the Ugandan music team consists of the big four and other musicians such as, Measerch Ssemakula, Afrigo Band, King Saha, Rema Namakula, Irene Namubiru, Juliana Kanyomozi, Sheebah, Geoffrey Lutaaya, Winnie Nwagi, Mariam Ndagire and Madox Ssematimba.

“Actually, Maddox is the best Musician in Uganda.” He however said, Spice Diana needs a Music Director to correlate her on and off stage performances.

On Azawi, Kato Lubwama said, she has been over hyped by the media in Uganda. He however said, she is a rising star.
