Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II and the Nnabagereka (queen) Sylvia Nagginda on Friday received their first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 at the Lubiri (palace) in Kireka, Kampala.
The Minister for Special Assignments in the Kabaka’s office Mr David F.K Mpanga on Friday tweeted.
“Ssabasajja Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II and the Nnabagereka Sylvia Nagginda Luswata were vaccinated against COVID-19 at the Lubiri in Kireka today,” along photos of the two royals receiving their jabs.
The jab was administered by nurses from Victoria Hospital, the jab exercise is the second time Kabaka Ronald Mutebi after he appeared at Capital Shoppers in Ntinda on Thursday.
The Kabaka and Nnabagereka have joined the many prominent figures in the country who have received the vaccine jabs.
