The ministry of health has received a consignment of Vitamin A and Mebendazole drugs worth Shs 667,112,996 million ($180,000) that will help in governments efforts to treat different health infections amongst people across the country.
Dr Olaro Charles the Director Clinical Services Ministry of Health while receiving the drugs at the National Medical Stores (NMS) in Entebbe on Monday said the drugs come at critical time when the ministry was running short of the two drugs.
Ms Violet Birungi a health and nutrition specialist at Food for the Hungry an NGO that donated the drugs told Entebbe Post said the donation was a response to governments call for the vitamin A and Mebendazole drugs to treat people that were running out of stock in the national stores facility’s across the country
