Moses Nkonge Kibalama the former President of the National Unity Platform has been arrested by the Uganda Police Force, Entebbe Post can confirm.
Kibalama has been picked from his home in Kampala and taken to an unknown destination.
Joel Ssenyonyi the National Unity Platform spokesperson confirmed the arrest. He however said the arrest has been expected and the party is fighting hard to ensure he gets justice.
Luke Oyowesigire, the Deputy Police Spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan says investigations into the arrest of the former National Unity Platform Party President Moses Kibalama are still ongoing.
Kibalama and other National Unity Platform leaders teamed up with the leadership of the People Power Movement to form a coalition platform that transcends the political fight against the NRM government.
Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi wine the People Power Principal was elected president of the Party at inception of the coalition, a plan that was widely welcomed and criticized in equal measure.
