Family stuck, as Nsambya hospital holds onto daughter’s body over Shs 32million bill

The family of Erias Semakula a former contestant for LC 1 chairman Abaita Ababiri, in Katabi Town council has been left baffled after St Francis Hospital Nsambya held onto the body of their deceased daughter Shiba Nakityo who passed on at the facility on Sunday over a Shs 32 million bill.

Nakityo who was popularly known as Sheebah Naks among peers (Sheebaholics) because staunch of her love and admiration of singer Sheebah Karungi died on Sunday after more than a month’s battle with drug toxicity caused by meningitis.  

Sources say Nakityo’s situation became worse over a month ago and a fundraising campaign was started to raise shs25m for Nakityo who required to undergo blood cleaning at Nsambya hospital where she has been hospitalized all in vain.
According to xclusive, a fundraiser has been started to sell T shirts labeled with her name to enable clear the bill.
A message reads: “We need approximately shs32 million for St. Francis hospital Nsambya. Now in order to get her body we have put up a fundraising of selling *sheebah naks* Tshirts for all those who are willing to help. Each is 25k. Send the money to her momma’s mobile money number which is 0752-838354 Betty Kalemba. Thanks.”
