Rose Tumusiime Bikaako has conceded defeat in the just concluded NRM primaries. Steven Shaka Gashaija triumphed in an election marred by controversy on September 4th.

Here is her concession speech.

Beloved friends, warm greetings. I take this opportunity to thank you so much for your prayers and support in the just concluded NRM Primaries.

At the end of the day, God’s will surpasses all. I remain grateful to you all for the opportunity to serve my municipality as a legislator at the highest national level.

I sincerely congratulate Mr. Steven Shaka Gashaija, the incoming NRM flag bearer for MP Entebbe Municipality, 2021 – 2025.

In the same spirit, I recognize and appreciate my fellow contestants ; Ms. Tukei Florence, Ms. Patience Mubangizi, Ms. Madina Zalwango and Ms. Peace Byuringiro for their contribution as leaders in their individual capacities.

I choose to remain an icon of peace, a strong NRM cadre and pillar all challenges notwithstanding.

My prayer now is that we observe peace in the remaining party primaries and consolidate our efforts for NRM to retain this seat in the forthcoming general elections.

May the Lord keep and bless you all. I wish you prosperity.
