The inspector of schools in Entebbe, Sarah Nabirye wants the Ministry of Education to repeal licenses from schools that are flouting the COVID 19 guidelines and those found teaching non candidates.
During an inspection held on Tuesday 8th in Entebbe, the inspector of schools Sarah Nabirye found more than 40 pupils ready in classes at Gilgal Nursery school located in Busambaga, Entebbe Municipality.
Nabirye said, the school was expected to have only 16 candidates who are registered to sit for Primary Leaving Examinations.
The head teacher who did not want to talk to this reporter exchanged words with the inspector pretending that the school teaches only candidates and the Ministry of Health standard operating procedures are highly implemented.
However, the inspector trashed all arguments, cautioned the Head teachers to let all pupils who are not candidates go back home until when schools resume operating normally.
Nabirye, the inspector of schools said, if the institution fails to follow guidelines, she will have to write to the Ministry to repeal there license.
Nabirye said, she will continue the operation in all areas of Entebbe as one way of curbing the spread of COVID 19 guidelines.
The President allowed schools to resume with only candidates in the primary and secondary schools.
