Entebbe Municipality Member of Parliament Rosemary Tumusiime Bikaako has delivered relief Items totaling to 3.5 tonnes of food, to the Entebbe Sub District Task force.
These items include 2000kgs of maize flour, 500kgs of Cassava flour, Rice, Sugar, soap and others were handed over to the Chairperson Entebbe COVID 19 Task Force and Entebbe Sub District D/RDC Hajji Noor Njuki Mbabali at his office in Entebbe.
Accompanied by fellow NRM Supporters, Hon Tumusiime revealed, the items were put together by friends, the Entebbe business community, and NRM Party members in response to President Museveni’s call to help Ugandans in this Fight of Corona Virus War.
“I urge all the people to follow the measures put in place by the government, especially curfew time. People have apprehended due to failure to follow these regulations. I hope we all stay home as we wait for the lockdown to be lifted.” says Tumusiime
“I really hope this relief reaches the Widows because they struggle a lot with their children especially in this period, I really want them to be considered first.” Tumusiime adds.
Tumusime further thanked the Entebbe COVID 19 Task force for their tires efforts, the medical team, Security plus the Media for teaching and alerting the communities on the measures to take in the lockdown and advised the non compliant Ugandans to follow the Presidential Directives.
On receipt of these items the Entebbe Sub-District D/RDC Hajji Nuru Njuki thanked the MP for being with a giving heart plus the friends and called upon politicians, business men, well wishers to contribute towards this noble cause.
