National Unity Platform-People Power has lured Entebbe MP Aspirant Stuart Lubwama into fully joining the Party.
Lubwama says that the ideologies on which the party is built are in line with what he believes, and thus the decision to become a fully fledged member of the National Unity Platform.
He has been for a time now in talks with the party top leadership and as well recruiting for the People Power, but he need to make a move to commit himself to the newly formed party.
Lubwama was able to return his nomination forms on deadline day to the Kamwokya based party headquarters, attached to the forms were lists of over 300 signatures of locals supporting his candidacy bid.
Lubwama has concentrated on engaging the electorate, while Micheal Kakembo of the Democratic Party has been hesitant to move to the National Unity Platform and Robert Masaazi crying foul for the Party’s purported alliance with the Democratic Party Bloc.
Lubwama has been able to set up Party structures from grassroot levels and he hopes these will be vital to securing his vote in the 2021 polls. But he will face off with Robert Masaazi in NUP primaries.
Stuart Lubwama is the Headteacher who went viral for turning into a chappati baker when the COVID-19 pandemic came biting and he was instrumental in rallying fellow teachers to start-up businesses
