Entebbe Kiggungu play ground re-greened during COVID-19 lockdown period

There has been one common song during the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown in the sporting sphere; several sports facilities have been renovated, Entebbe Kiggungu playground the latest to follow suit.

The diligent work to re-green the Kiggungu play ground has been executed by Azteks Soccer Academy football players Moses Ayazika and Francis Ayazika as well as their coach Yosiah “Dede” Kidedde, Sam Kateregga (captain of Mapeera Football Club) and other well-wishers.

Besides the grass planting, several pine trees have been planted around this facility.

In Entebbe Municipality alone, sports grounds in both Divisions A and B have had a facelift.

Kiwafu, Banga Nakiwogo have benefited in Division B whilst Entebbe Works, Bugonga, Entebbe Police and Katabi Gombolola playgrounds have all been regreened in Division A.

In Katabi Sub county, Tanda play-ground, Nkumba University and Cardinal play ground – Kisubi have been regreened as well.

Others include; Uganda Clays Play-ground, Kajjansi Church of Uganda play ground in Kajjansi Town Council, MUBS Nakawa, Kira playground (Kira Town Council), Wampewo play-ground (Kira Town Council), Kiryadongo Boma, King George Stadium (Tororo), Nyamityobora play ground (Mbarara), Busia playground, St Mary’s Bar (Packwach) play-ground, among others.
