“The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act new,” He says.

Kalema added that “I always asked why Hon Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) came to parliament on independent ticket, Lord Mayor KCCA on independent ticket, now I understand that it’s to every individual with a servant heart. I don’t mind getting only one vote but as long as it counts, than losing my life like it was going to happen on Tuesday 18th/02/2020 by a group that calls itself a DP due to hatred.”

Kalema has since swearing in as Town Council Chairperson received backlash from the Democratic Party stalwarts within Katabi which according to sources close to the Chairperson’s ability to carry on his duties.

DP leaders in Entebbe and Kampala have promised to mediate the party leaders to streamline the party’s trajectory.
