Police in Bukomansimbi, Masaka Sub Region are holding a youth Councillor at Bukomansimbi district for defiling a 15 year old.
The councilor who also doubles as the School Director of Brain Way Junior Academy, Kitanda is said to have defiled the minor on Thursday close to 8.00 pm in Bukomansimbi town.
The victim is a senior one student at Bukomansimbi Secondary School.
Preliminary information at Police indicates that the Councilor, 30, forcefully grabbed the 15 year old victim, took her close to Diizi guest house, in an incomplete building in Bukomansimbi town where he defiled her from.
The District Police Commander for Bukomansimbi Sowedi Manisur confirmed the incident. He also said, the victim went to police immediately and reported the matter.
“We have in our custody Mr Joseph Luwaga, a councillor representing youths in Bukomansimbi district as we carry out investigations as per the accusations,” Said the DPC.
Mr Edward Kakande, the victim’s father said that her daughter had gone to buy snacks in a nearby town and Luwaga forcefully took her where he defiled her.
“After she was defiled, she came home crying and we asked her what had happened, explained everything and we advised her to go to police and report the matter,” Said Mr Kakande.
The victim according to her mother Ms Betty Najuuko is having too much pain within the genitals since she lost lots of blood due to force used by the suspect.
“My daughter sustained a lot of injuries in her private parts and she has difficulty in moving,” Said Ms Najjuuko, the victim’s mother.
The suspect is currently at Bukomansimbi police station as investigations are ongoing.
