The Acting Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) Director General Fred Bamwesigye has been dragged to the Inspector General of Government (IGG) office by a whistleblower over allegedly presenting false documents to get employment at the aviation authority.
According to Chimp reports, a petition presented to the IGG’s office shows Bamwesigye real names kanyangoga used falsified documents to get employment first as director Human Resource and Administration and later as the deputy Director general.
The petitioner claims kanyangoga was born in Nyarubiza, Ruhama in Ntungamo district on November 27 1963 but failed Primary Seven and assumed the names of Fred Bamwesigye who had passed but had no interest in further studies.
The petitioner said kanyangoga used the latter’s results from Rwera primary School to join Kigezi College Butobere where he studied for six years but failed UACE and had to repeat the class from Ntare School.
The petitioner adds that the Director General further tampered with his O and A level results.
“On Joining UCAA, he amended his date of birth from November 27 1963 yet his passport, number BO861672 indicated it to be 27th November 1963, which was also reflected by his former workplace, the National Environment Authority (NEMA).
Bamwesigye’s age saga comes at a time of a heated race for the position of UCAA Director General which requires applicants to be between 35 to 55 years of age. If the petition is proven true, Bamwesigye would be ineligible for the position
