The Holy Bible in Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians, Chapter 9 and verse 7 is famously quoted about the element of generous giving;
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves, a cheerful giver.” The Apostle Paul wrote.
In light of the aforementioned, business mogul Fabrice Rulinda is indeed a cheerful giver.
Weeks after handing over fuel worth 500,000/= to the Corona virus Entebbe Task Force, Rulinda has bounced back in style with another generous offer of 7.2 Tons of food.
The donated food was handed over to the Entebbe Sub District Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Hajji Noor Njuki Mbabali at his office in Entebbe on Monday, April 27, 2020.
“I am offering food to my brothers and sisters who cannot afford to get what to eat in this period marred by the Corona virus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Many of these people are no longer working and thus not earning. They need to feed and live.” Rulinda noted.
Upon receiving the food, Njuki expressed gratitude by the offer from Rulinda.
“We are humbled by Mr Fabrice Rulinda for the donation of food offered to the Entebbe covid-19 Task Force. This comes after the fuel donation he made to the cars that we use in this operation. Such an act shows the true heart of a generous citizen ready to help others” Njuki noted.
This food will be given to the marginalized group of people that include the boda boda riders who are no longer working, saloon operators, DJ’s, bouncers, widows, sick and disabled among others.
Rulinda joins the bandwagon of donors who have sacrificed their meager resources to offer to the less privileged in the community
Last week, Entebbe Municipality Member of Parliament Rosemary Tumusiime Bikaako delivered relief Items totaling to 3.5 tonnes of food, to the Entebbe Sub District Task force.
These items included 2000kgs of maize flour, 500kgs of Cassava flour, Rice, Sugar, soap and others.
Wakiso Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Rose Mary Sseninde donated 1 tonne of food, Joel Kawooya (3.5 Tonnes) and the Mayor of Entebbe Vincent Kayanja De Paul has also solicited items through partners working within Entebbe Municipality including the Indian community, Four Points and among others.
Entebbe Task force also championed Red Cross Entebbe Branch to spear head the food distribution exercise, under the chairmanship of Robert Kigundu with assistance of other NGO’s Health Nest Uganda (HENU), Lions Club Entebbe and Rotary Club of Entebbe throughout the all Entebbe Sub District.
