Part One: Best Hotel Busega turns into a den for sex trade, excessive HIV spread

When you hear the name New Best Hotel – Busega, what rings a bell in anyone’s head is excessive commercial sex trade. The hotel works day and night in one of the suburbs of Rubaga, a Division within Uganda’s capital Kampala.

Make no mistake, sex trade is everywhere in Uganda. From the remote villages, to the cities around the country. But what happens at Best Hotel Busega is beyond the normal.

The Hotel, situated at the road side, has also become a hub for HIV spread as seven people have so far claimed to have been infected with the virus at the Hotel.

Humphrey Kabogoza, a Boda boda rider at Kibuye stage narrates his ordeal.

“I was first taken to Best Hotel by my colleague. We were supposed to trim off our hair alone. However, each person is given three women to work on him. First, a woman cuts off the hair as another awaits to do massage on your head and chest. Here, you cannot remain the same since it turns erotic. And at just Ugx 20,000 you cut off the hair and are given a Rwandan babe who can offer a sex marathon in an annex room,” Kabogoza narrates.

He adds that after his first encounter, he was bound to return for another happy ending, enjoying sex in a hotel with an arousing hair cut.

“I went back several times and i would enjoy the young ladies that I used to find. It seemed more of free sex until I started falling illish and went to hospital. With the live sex I enjoyed, I was tested positive of HIV. I only have one place where i found myself reckless and it is at Best Hotel where i would have live sex,” Kabogoza narrates.

Just like Kabogoza, three other different cyclists around the Busega round about narrated a similar ordeal. All had taken to Best Hotel for pleasure which later turned sour and bitter, for several STIs and HIV were contracted by the cyclists.

“Well as I stopped going there after realizing my life was reckless and had contracted HIV, I had gotten solacr after my wife had left my home. With only money for beer, Sauna and a tip for the ladies, i would enjoy free sex in there. The pleasure is real, although it comes with consequences,” another cyclists who asked not to be named told this website.

How New Best Hotel – Busega Works

Located along the main Kampala Masaka highway, towards the Busega round about, the Hotel is known for its Sauna, Massage, Steam bath, Kareoke, and other supplementary services.

It holds a VIP and an ordinary win with a wide space for people to choose and feast on which ever babe he wants.

The Management of the Hotel, for a cheap and interesting service travels to Rwanda, picks several of the desperate young girls who want to work in Kampala and are introduced to Best hotel for a number of services.

Amongst such services is room and hotel service, hot romps and live sex, working in bars, massage rooms and other services. Each girl is paid paltry as they move to add up to the several sex packages they offer to the unsuspecting Ugandans.

“Actually, we travel to Rwanda every after two weeks and come back with a new group since the old ones keep fading off. The advanced between you and the lady for sex, especially on whether you have live sex is private. What we offer are the known packages of the legal services we offer,” one of the hotel attendants intimated to this website.

For a VIP section, a number of Very Important people jet into the hotel through a back door, to avoid being noticed by the unsuspecting public.

Many of the big names move to the hotel guising as those in need of Sauna and Steam bath services.

“These ones are always paraded in the VIP section and later, a swam of young belles from Rwanda are brought before them to choose whom to feast,” says one of the attendants.

This reporter also visited the site to ascertain what exactly takes place, guising as a guest. One of the revelations correlates with the many young ladies taken in for the sex business.

“All oily and appetizing they are. What is unfortunate is, none thinks about protection for as long as money is presented for them to take, because it is money that matters,” the reporter says.

Seven of the participants who this website spoke to claimed they had contracted HIV from the place. However, they continue going to the same Hotel where they still feast on the young unsuspecting girls brought in for the trade without protection.

They say, “we have nothing to hide now since we are already HIV Positive.” A cyclist who asked not to be named told this website that he returns to the same place to revenge on the same people who contracted him with the deadly HIV virus.

“I pray I get that very girl I suspect to have infected me. I will take revenge and I must leave a mark on her, even when it means killing her,” the cyclist said.

Currently, the proprietor of the Hotel has extended his VIP section to cater for more clients who want to join the club.

Amongst the VIP clients are senior Political and Government officials, Members of Parliament, several senior Army and Police officers, Ministers and businessmen.
