A Wrap-Up of the Weekend in the World of Sport

 The football world was left stunned by the unexpected turn of events during the weekend, from Kyetume fighting it out with Onduparaka, Watford killing Liverpool’s invincibility dreams to Real Madrid stepping up in the El Classico. Then five games were suspended in Italy’s Serie A over Coronavirus including Bologna v Juventus, Inter Milan v Sassulo among others.

In the Uganda Premier league SC Villa came from one down to beat Bright Stars 2-1 with goals from Emmanuel Wasswa and Super sub Benson Muhindo to seal the Victory. As Onduparaka and Kyetume gave us a five goal thriller that ended 3-2 in favour of new comers Kyetume FC.

Uganda was overjoyed as Bombers Captain Shadri Musa qualified for the Olympics 2020 Japan in dramatic fashion, hence permitting Uganda Boxing Federation President Moses Muhangi eat something after he had gone on a hunger strike last week.

Away in the Premier League relegation threatened Watford FC became the first team to disarm and punish Liverpool this season with goals from Troy Deeny and two from Ismail Sarr.

Liverpool were thrashed 3 to nil as they failed to score for the second time running in one week after losing 1-0 away in Madrid to Atletico. Wolves stunned Spurs to a 3-2 defeat and Manchester United settled for a one all draw away at Goodison Park. Arsenal versus Manchester City was pushed to give Arsenal a rest after their game in the Europa League.

Elsewhere in Spain, Real Madrid clinched a big win against Barcelona in the El classico. Vinicius Junior became the youngest scorer in the el classico history beating Lionel Messi’s. Vinicius Junior scored after 71 minutes and Mariano confirmed the win with a second goal.

In Serie A, Napoli beat Torino 2-1, Roma edged Cagliari 4-3, and Atlanta made history as the most offensive team of the season scoring 7 goals in a single game for the third time this season, in their match against Leece that ended 3-2
