A lowdown on the world of Football this weekend

From the Star times Uganda Premier League to the English Premier League we give you an insight on what to expect from different clubs across the globe, our eyes are locked on the most interesting games of the weekend.

KCCA FC welcome Express FC – Mukwano gw’abangi at The Star times Stadium in Lugogo this afternoon in what is dubbed the Kampala Derby.

KCCA are second on the table and need to win this game to cut the 5-point gap between them and Vipers who were mercilessly battered by URA yesterday. KCCA’s stylish central defender John Revita will miss the game.

The forwards have to be on tick to give the gaffer Mike Mutebi the win. Express FC’s Wasswa Bbosa hopes his towering forward Frank Kalanda will benefit from the absence of John Revita at KCCA.

Still in the UPL Wakiso Giants take on Kyetume FC, Onduparaka host Mbarara City, Tooro United match up against Police FC and Bright Stars host Proline.SC Villa will play on Sunday 23 February away in Njeru against hosts BUL FC.

Away from home in the premier league Jose Mourinho goes back to Stamford Bridge with Spurs to challenge for the 4th spot. Frank Lampard will be without Christian Pulisic and Hudson Odoi, But Tammy Abraham could make a return to the squad. Tottenham are without Harry Kane, Son and Sisoko, Erik Lamela and Ndombele may start this game after coming off the bench against RB Leipzig.

At the King Power Stadium Leicester welcome Manchester City who are without wingers Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane, David Silva also misses out due to injury. Leicester are limited in the midfield with both Ndidi and Mendy sidelined.

While Ryan Bennett is available after being ineligible to play against his parent club Wolves. In other games Burnley host Bournemouth, Crystal Palace faceoff with Newcastle United, Sheffield United versus Brighton and Southampton play Aston Villa.

On Sunday Manchester United get a chance to revenge against Watford and hope Odion Ighalo will play his former bosses, Wolves take on Norwich City and Arsenal take on Everton. The final match day game will be played out on Monday night between table leaders Liverpool and Westham. Klopp’s men will be hoping to stay unbeaten in the League.
