It is over two weeks ever since the President passed directives to curb thespread of the nobel Corona Virus, the serius ofmeasures include a national curfew that has seen the operational hours reduced to 6:30 am to 7pm and beyond this all movements cease.
However 33men have been arrested and charged due to failure to observe the Presidential Directive. When presented before Grade 1 Magistrate Phionah Birungi in Entebbe.
The Presidents word may have met some deaf ears across the channels, keeping children at home from the trading centers and loitering, some parents have failed to implement this.
The group includes 3 minors and students that have been released on a non cash bail and will be commuting from home through these proceedings. However the others have been remanded to the new Kitalya Prison up to the 11th of May 2020.
Prosecutor Joan Keko states that they are still making investigations regarding this case and pushed in a request to court to grant them more time to finalise with the investigations.
